My name is Bas de Rooij, and I was born in the year 2000 in the small village of Rucphen, located in Brabant. From a young age, I’ve been passionate about making music, drawing, and writing stories — the creative industry has always fascinated me.
Over the past few years, I’ve grown into my role as a graphic designer. In 2021, I completed my studies in Graphic Design, and since then, I’ve been enrolled in the CO-IEMES program at Fontys in Tilburg. This program allows me to combine my graphic and design skills with the dynamic world of the leisure industry.
Beyond my studies, I’m eager to keep developing myself within the industry. My journey began in 2019 with a part-time job as a ride operator at Efteling. Then in 2023, I had the incredible opportunity to do one of the coolest internships ever — at Walt Disney World!
Outside of school, I also take on freelance design projects. These help me broaden my professional experience and continue building my portfolio. And of course, I can never resist picking up a pencil and paper (or my iPad) to indulge in some good old-fashioned ‘blue sky imagineering.’
But enough about me — I’d love to hear who you are, and perhaps how I can help you. If you’re interested, let’s get in touch!
